Julian's passion for trees started early, as he grow up near woodland which had a profound effect on him. He travels widely, camera in hand, to document historic ancient trees, present regular talks, including an appearance as judge on Channel 4’s Tree of the Year TV programme. Chair of Wessex Ancient Tree Forum, verifier for the Ancient Tree Inventory, Julian launched Reviving Selwood Forest and campaigns for ancient trees and woodland.
