Both the book and the exhibition are products of a creative collaboration designed to highlight the contribution of Valle Crucis abbey to the cultural life of north-east Wales, drawing together new artwork and interpretative material. As well as portrayals of the magnificent burial monuments, this book includes a selection of the literature connected with the abbey, especially the poetry of Gutun Owain and Guto r Glyn.
