Bywgraffiad yr Awdur / Author Biography

Richard Devereux lives in Bristol and in a previous life was a family lawyer. He grew up in Stourbridge in the West Midlands — the ‘border town’ referred to in this pamphlet. His poems have appeared in a number of journals and anthologies. He was the winner of the Mist and Mountain International Poetry Prize 2025 with his poem ‘Beirut’. His poetry is mostly concerned with people; he is drawn to themes of inheritance and conflict.
