Emily Alder is Associate Professor of Literature and Culture at Edinburgh Napier University, where she teaches, edits and writes about Gothic, weird and science fiction as often as she can. Jimmy Packham is Associate Professor of English Literature at the University of Birmingham. He works in the fields of the blue humanities, coastal studies, and Gothic and ecoGothic studies. Joan Passey is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Bristol, where she specialises in the Gothic, horror, and folklore in literature and culture.
