Bywgraffiad yr Awdur / Author Biography

S J Matchett spent over thirty years in UK law enforcement in a variety of posts covering CID, Uniform and Specialist Departments (including Internal Investigations and Anti-Corruption). At the time of his retirement, he occupied the post of Head of Protective Services Wales with overall responsibility for combatting the threat and risk posed by Terrorism and Serious and Organised Crime in Wales. Following his retirement in 2019, he spent time working in the private sector most notably during the Covid-19 pandemic, where he utilised his skills and experience of crisis management and incident response to support and guide organisations through the pandemic. He has also acted as a consultant to a variety of UK and European Television Production Companies. ‘Hunting the Pembrokeshire Murderer’ is his debut book.
