Bywgraffiad yr Awdur / Author Biography
Maggie Harris is originally from Guyana and lived in Kent until 2006 when she moved to Wales. She performs her work frequently at various venues. A poet, prose writer and memoirist, she won the Guyana Prize for Literature for her first collection, ‘Limbolands’, 2000, and was Regional Winner of The Commonwealth Short Story Prize, 2014. Her latest collection of poetry is ‘Sixty Years of Loving’ (Cane Arrow Press). Her short story collection ‘Writing on Water’ (Seren) followed her previous collection ‘In Margate by Lunchtime’ (Cultured Llama Press) which was longlisted for the Edge Hill Prize 2016.
