The largest town in the county of Carmarthenshire, Llanelli has a long and illustrious history. Llanelli grew quickly during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries with the advent of the coal, tinplate and steel industries, gaining the nickname 'Tinopolis' due to its significance. Llanelli was also a major centre for Welsh nonconformity, reflected in its religious architecture.

Bywgraffiad yr Awdur / Author Biography
Keith E. Morgan was educated at Dynevor Grammar School, Swansea, before taking up and completing a telecommunications apprenticeship with the General Post Office. Following two years National Service in the RAF as an Air Radar Mechanic on V-Bombers, he continued his career in the GPO as a Telecommunications Engineer. He subsequently entered the Steel and Tinplate Industry as a Chartered Engineer specialising in Telecommunications and Computer Automation Systems. Following retirement, he rejoined the Tinplate Industry as an Engineering Consultant to Project Manage the Millennium Bug Change-over and he has been engaged ever since as Curator of the Tinplate Museum at Trostre Works, Llanelli. In 1995, he took his first step to becoming an author and have been publishing books ever since.
