David Johnston-Smith is a qualified archivist specialising in collection-focused cataloguing. He has previously worked in libraries, both academic and public, in higher education as an administrator and a second-hand book and music retailer. He worked as the Project Archivist on a Welcome Trust-funded project to catalogue the Raissa Page collection held at a Richard Burton Archives, Swansea University before writing this book.
