As the world continues to struggle with the destruction wreaked by COVID-19, and with Brexit’s dire legacy only just beginning to become obvious for most of the people of these islands, a poet and an artist from Wales give us a glimpse of how they saw the world in the shadow of the twin plagues. In this bilingual collection, they share their response in art and writing to the tragedy, the stupidity, the resilience and the resolve of this time, often in anger, sometimes with a smile. They also bear witness to how the daily flow of life endured through it all, as it must do. Here is a journal, in art and verse, of a period in our lives that we can only hope will rightly be called unique.
