Martin Whitcombe is the grandson of Frank Whitcombe, one the Indomitables, and one who also enjoyed a successful rugby (union) career with Leicester Tigers, and England B. Today he lives in West Yorkshire and is a keen follower of both rugby league and union. Huw Richards is a journalist and historian whose previous books include the William Hill prize-shortlisted Dragons and All Blacks and A Game for Hooligans . Formerly rugby correspondent of the Financial Times and cricket correspondent of the International Herald Tribune , he teaches at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.
