Ceredigion author A G Rivett (www.agrivett.com) claims to have lived several lives in the course of his one life. Born in London, raised in the Home Counties, he has been a doctor, a priest and a crofter in the Scottish Highlands, on the lands of his Mackenzie ancestors. He has lived in rural northern Nigeria and knows what a simpler life looks like, less dependent on technology. He now lives near Llandysul with his wife Gillian, who is also his literary editor. He has three daughters and two grandsons.

This is a misty, green world, where the Otherworld of the Sidhe is not so distant from life among the living. A doctor, crofter and ordained minister himself, Rivett understands the tight relationship of the peasants to the land and the seasons and their religious ideas and practices. - Susie Helme, Historical Novel Society Rivett has a deep appreciation for the northern Scotland landscape, and skilfully evokes its beauty while also recognizing how its harshness would have impacted people 1,000 years ago. The author also successfully captures the cadence of Celtic speech. Readers will feel invested in the characters and look forward to the struggle between old and new that surely must come in the trilogy’s finale. - BlueInk Review A skilfully written story of one woman and her journey to discover herself. I felt like I was inside Morag’s head. The characters are well fleshed out and the way the author weaves religion into the novel makes it a layered and interesting read.
