Iain McLaughlin has worked as a journalist and TV and radio writer since the mid 1980s. He has written for Dennis the Menace, The Tomorrow People, Doctor Who, Blake's 7 and The Dandy. He was formerly the editor of Britain's longest-running comic, The Beano. He has written more than fifty books and has written scripts for radio, TV and the theatre. He likes lots of variety in his work. He was born and still lives in Dundee on the east coast of Scotland in a house filled with books.
