A timeslip story with a difference, this is an adaptation of Hywel Griffith’s award-winning novel Dirgelwch y Bont which sees three children from twenty-first century Britain going back to the fifteenth century and sampling an episode in the ongoing struggle between the Rippers and the Stitchers. The Stitchers are the heroes who try to avert the violence which the Rippers would like to inflict on an unsuspecting world. Flatlands, a residential school on Merseyside, is the only home Owain Jones can remember. But it’s not a happy place for Owain, whose mysterious Welsh ancestry makes him stick out like a sore thumb. And then he learns his class is going on a school trip to Wales ... When Owain finds new friends, Geth and Marian, they’re quickly drawn into the age-old conflict between Rippers and Stitchers. Time travel, sword fights and kidnap are just some of the perils they face. Will Owain be able to save his mates from the evil Rippers? And will they ever get back to the twenty-first century?
