Born in Oxfordshire to a Welsh mother, Richard Rhys O’Brien is a former international finance and development economist, long-term futures strategist for business and government, adviser to the SDP, council member of Chatham House and serves on the advisory board of The Annual Register. He is the author of the bestselling 'The End of Geography: Global Financial Integration' (1991), has edited more than a dozen other volumes on economics. He has also written an online study of the 1933 dinner for Lady Rhondda, the suffragette, businesswoman and publisher, and 'The Campaigns of Margaret Lloyd George: The Wife of the Prime Minister 1916-1922' (Y Lolfa, 2022).
