Emertha Uwanyirigira is a woman and mother based in Cardiff who has always believed in the power of stories to comfort, connect, and make sense of life. Under the Same Sky comes out of her own lived experience, a journey that tested her in ways she could never have expected, but also showed her a strength she did not realise was there. Writing it was as much about understanding her past as it was about finding meaning in it. Through her writing, Emertha hopes to reach readers from all walks of life with a simple message that courage is not always loud or obvious. Sometimes it grows quietly inside us until we need it most.
