After training as a psychiatric nurse, with aspirations to be a classical singer, Louise found herself transferred from carer to patient. On eventually escaping the mental health system she was diagnosed with the progressive brain disorder Ataxia and now campaigns for a patient voice that is heard during treatment and recovery.
