Hi sydd y tu ôl i gwmni dillad a nwyddau Celtes, sydd wedi eu hysbrydoli gan gyfoeth geiriau a dywediadau Cymraeg. Mae ôl ei dychymyg drwy’r gyfres Wenfro; mae’n berson eithriadol o frwdfrydig dros yr agenda amgylcheddol, gwyrdd a thros roi cyfle i blant Cymru ddeall am eu gwlad o fewn cyd-destun y byd mawr. Llinos Mair is a familiar face in the creative world in Wales. As an experienced designer, living and working in west Wales, she is at ease creating visually appealing ideas. She is the face behind the clothing and gift company, Celtes, inspired by the words and sayings of Wales. Her imagination runs through the Wenfro package; she is an exceptionally enthusiastic supporter of environmental matters and of giving children in Wales an opportunity to understand their own country within the context of the wider world. Available for workshops and promotion.

In this companion book to The Treasure Hunt , Mam-gu and the children, with the aid of a magic magnifying glass, go back into the past to visit one of her childhood haunts, the village smithy Efail-wen, where she used to take her pony to be shod. The use of the rainbow-petalled glass, as a device for moving into the past is linked to the series of round cameos of the smithy, the forge and the blacksmith at work, which alternate with the full-page illustrations of here and now. As the story closes the scarecrow Bwgi-bo presents Mamgu with a lucky horseshoe, but unfortunately holds it upside down and the good luck falls out! Obviously it’s time for tea. These stories present factual information through a fictional narrative, a worthy concept in itself. However the stylised cartoon versions of the humans and particularly the animals ( all with staring ‘glass eyes’) could lead to confusion, and misinterpretation. The gap-toothed brunette spider living in the walking scarecrow’s pocket is a case in point, as is the blonde bombshell bee. The books will doubtless appeal to young readers, or perhaps more importantly young listeners, encouraged by adults to follow the text more closely, and discuss the unusual range of illustrations, and facts contained within the green gingham-effect pages.
