Alun Davies is from Aberystwyth originally and now lives in Cardiff. He is a very popular ditective writer who penned the trilogy, Ar Drywydd Llofrudd, Ar Lwybr Dial and Ar Daith Olaf, as well as, Pwy yw Moses John?. His children s novel, Manawydan Jones: Y Pair Dadeni, won the Tir na n-Og prize for the best book for Secondary school children in 2023.

Detective Magi Maelor discovers that Janssen is a prepper a firm believer in conspiracy theories. He had foreseen an imminent catastrophe and prepared for it by creating a secure bunker, stockpiling food, books, weapons and supplies to survive the carnage. Janssen was found with his wrists cut; the bunker s only door was locked, and the key was in his pocket. Did Janssen s paranoia get the better of him? Maelor is suspicious and begins to investigate further, uncovering several unexpected twists.
